TOUR OVERVIEW
The hardest part of travelling to Afghanistan is deciding where to go. For most people a trip to Afghanistan is a rare and once off experience. Well, for most people there is no chance they'd travel there, but for the small number of adventurous individuals, it's a tough choice. That's why we have designed an itinerary that covers as many aspects of this incredible country as possible.
The hustle and bustle of Kabul is very different to life in other cities, while life in rural areas is often like stepping back in time. Learning about the history of Afghanistan, as well as finding out about the trials and tribulations of modern day life, we traverse Afghanistan, exploring diverse areas such as Kandahar, Kabul, Mazar, Balkh and Samangan. We'll both drive and fly to cover as much distance as possible.
Highlights include travelling the Silk Road ourselves and visiting the ancient Bactrian capital of Balkh, admiring the over 1000 year old minarets of Sultan Masud at the entrance to Ghazni, and visiting the children's circus in Kabul where local kids get to escape every day life while making friends and having fun.
