The small Central Asian country of Tajikistan has increased the number of passports that are allowed to enter the country visa free. Another 25 countries can join the already impressive list of nationals who are able to arrive visa free.
The policy is effective from the 1 st of May 2024, and contains a diverse list of states from around the world.
The new 25 visa free countries who will be able to travel as tourists to Tajikistan visa free are the following:
Andorra, Bahamas, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ireland, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Mongolia, Montenegro, Oman, Romania, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vatican, and the State of Palestine.
These 25 countries will have visa free access to Tajikistan for up to 30 days. Longer than 30 days and they will still be required to obtain a visa.
In addition to the 25 countries which are now visa free for Tajikistan, another 16 countries are now visa free for passport holders over the age of 55.

Citizens from Albania, Algeria, Barbados, Vanuatu, China, Dominicia, Fiji, Laos, Lebanon, Madagascar, Morocco, North Macedonia, Nicaragua, Panama, Tunisia and Vietnam, who are over 55 years of age, can now travel to Tajikistan, visa free, for up to 14 days.
If citizens of these countries wish to stay longer than 14 days, or are under the age of 55, they will still need to apply for a visa.
